6 TexasHealthMansfield.org Committed to the community “Sending money to support great causes is nice, but our team believes that our presence and work in person is even more impactful. We love helping people.” — Kenneth Rose, President and CEO of Texas Health Mansfield Texas Health Mansfield is committed to its community. Even the volunteers’ shirts boldly sport this statement on the front. For this team, those words encompass their goal to humbly serve others. Whether in a hospital room or local food pantry, they strive to serve as Christ served. The hospital runs a hands-on volunteer program and partners with a local nonprofit each quarter, giving team members the opportunity to sign up and give back to the community. Since opening their doors in 2020, this team has volunteered over 975 hours at local nonprofits. Their growing list of partners includes the Mansfield Mission Center, Harvesting in Mansfield Center, Manna House in Midlothian and a local Marine Toys for Tots Foundation. Building relationships Being involved with their community in this capacity leads to lasting relationships with nonprofit owners and community members alike. “Sending money to support great causes is nice, but our team believes that our presence and work in person is even more impactful,” says Kenneth Rose, President and CEO of Texas Health Mansfield. “We love helping people.” While the team’s goal is to make a lasting impact on the community, the community has also touched the hearts of the team members involved. “It’s amazing to have hands-on experience in helping people,” shares Morgan Reynolds, a business development team member. “Being in business development, we’re usually behind the scenes and don’t have the opportunity to provide bedside care. Volunteering reminds me that no matter my position, I can always lend a helping hand.” Helping out our neighbors Volunteering within the community has allowed Texas Health Mansfield to build meaningful relationships and foster unity and collaboration with their neighbors. Leaders and team members are able to live out their faith and remember why they do what they do every day. As the team continues to serve in the community, they keep Isaiah 58:10 near and dear to their hearts: “Feed the hungry, and help those in trouble. Then your light will shine out from the darkness, and the darkness around you will be as bright as noon.” Volunteer work extending the healing ministry of Christ
