A fond farewell As we embrace this new season of growth and renewal, I wanted to take a moment to reflect and share some bittersweet news. I will be departing from my role as president and CEO of Texas Health Hospital Mansfield and moving into a promotion within our organization, where I will be the president and CEO for two of our facilities and closer to family. This transition marks the end of a chapter in my life that has been filled with immense joy, love and gratitude for this incredible community. Looking back at our journey together, I can’t help but be filled with an overwhelming sense of pride. The exceptional work accomplished by the team here at Texas Health Mansfield has been truly remarkable. From the early days of building and opening this hospital to its continuous growth, we have strived to serve the community with unwavering dedication. While my departure brings change, I assure you that the future is bright for our hospital and the city of Mansfield. The seeds of success we have planted together will continue to flourish under new leadership. Throughout my time as CEO, our commitment to extending the healing ministry of Christ has remained steadfast. This commitment will continue to guide the actions and decisions of our team, ensuring compassionate care remains at the core of our mission. There will be a focus on recruiting nurses for women’s services because maternity care needs are growing, as well as other nursing positions in the emergency department, in-patient care units, surgery and cardiac cath lab. Consumer access specialists. These team members perform forward-facing roles, including registration and insurance verification in the emergency department and in the main hospital lobby. They help enhance the experience provided at the facility, as they are the first friendly face a patient sees when they arrive. Whether you’re feeling the burn of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) or are due for a colorectal cancer screening, know that the digestive health team at Texas Health Hospital Mansfield is here for you. Help for digestive health problems 45, most people should have a colorectal cancer screening test. “A screening colonoscopy is the gold standard for preventing colorectal cancer,” says Dr. Abdussalam. It allows doctors to view the entire colon and rectum and remove any precancerous growths, called polyps, in a single procedure. In this way, a colonoscopy can prevent colorectal cancer, the fourth leading cause of U.S. cancer deaths. The screening can also detect colorectal cancer before it has spread. That’s when treatment often works best.
